So, here's what's gone on for the rest of August....

End of Day 17 - looking west at east side of house.

Suki is very happy with the window height!

We are standing in the doorway to the master bedroom.
Day 18 (August 15th)

End of Day 18: looking west at east side of house.
Day 19 (August 16th)

Today we had to pick a corbel design from these sketches.
So, today we had to pick a corbel design.  The need was immediate as the company in Las Cruces was going to cut them today and include them in a shipment coming tomorrow.  Eeep!  So, they emailed us this sketch of designs.  I had a really hard time envisioning what they would really look like based on these sketches.  We figured 3 of them would like be just fine, picked #2 and hoped for the best.
Corbel.

Here's what design #2 looks like "in person".  We are pleased!  The wood you see in this picture is all Douglas fir.
End of Day 19: looking sort of south eastish from the patio.

Day 20 (August 19th)
The gorgeous beams for the great room went up and the eyebrows (overhangs for our south facing windows).
Douglas fir beams in great room.

Eyebrow decorative supports for window overhangs on south side.
Day 21 (August 20th)
Sheathing going on and more eyebrows.

Eyebrows here, but no sheathing on this end of house yet.
Day 23 (August 22nd)
More sheathing up.

Pine tongue & groove making up the great room ceiling.

Tongue & groove again.
Day 24 (August 23rd)
Tongue & groove in great room all installed.

Our walk in shower!

So, that is it for August.
